Nori, just returned home <sigh> from our first "Anguilla Card vacation." It was flawless. The Card was waiting for us at our villa as promised.
My husband and I saved way more than the value of the card and it's cool to turn in "The Card" with your credit card - feels very "VIPish." Thank you, great idea!

The Card quickly pays for itself, many times over.
That is if you are a "couple."
What about groups?
If you are a family or group, The Card covers you and whoever is with you on vacation, up to a party of 6 (on the same check or credit card).
Group With The Anguilla Card on Meads Bay
(The real card is much smaller!)
So your savings multiply!
"Couple" or "group," it adds up fast. For example, if you stay at a participating hotel or villa, you save hundreds of dollars before you even arrive.
If you stay elsewhere, you still save several times the price of The Card (see our Guarantee). Why?
It's because you save on virtually everything you do, from breakfast to boat tours, from transit to Anguilla to transport within it.
And new Partners are joining regularly.
About those savings...
Note: All price savings quoted below are examples of the 10% Anguilla Card discount received at Participating Partners.
Picture your family of 4 lunching, beaching, snoozing at Garvey's Sunshine Shack on Rendezvous Bay. Hand Garvey your discount card. Depending on what you eat and drink, you save $20-$30!
Repeat over the next 10 days for meals at JULIAN'S, da'Vida, Ocean Echo, restaurants at Malliouhana, and Tasty's.
Total savings, just on meals, for your family's week in Anguilla?
$150-200. Meals alone save you much more than the price of The Card.
Of course, you need a place to sleep...
From hotels like the low-price, high-value Turtle's Nest, to the luxurious Nevaeh Villa, the Card has you covered.
Stay at one of our Participating Partner hotels or villas and save anywhere from $200-1,000 (or more).
Naturally, there is much more to an Anguilla vacation than superb accommodations and gold-medal cuisine. Continuing with our example of a family of 4, let's get you onto, and around, the island...
Your air-car-boat savings add up to $100-300.
Sleep. Eat. Transport. Check, check and check. But you're not quite done. There are even discounts for things to do while you are in Anguilla (with more Partners to come)...
Shopping? Save $10 at SeaSpray on souvenirs for the folks back home. Save another $20-200 on a masterpiece carving by Mr. Devonish .
Total? Save $20-200 on shopping.
$500-$2,000!
That was an example for a family of 4. The card covers everyone traveling with the Card Holder, from "2 on a honeymoon" and up to a group of 6 traveling together.
Welcome to...
Valid for any number of visits to Anguilla for an entire year from date of purchase, savings can amount to many hundreds, even thousands of dollars. And yet...
The price of The Anguilla Card is only $49.
The Anguilla Card comes with...
We guarantee that you will save at least twice the price of the card...
If you do not save at least $100 with your 2021 Anguilla Card, your 2022 card is on me (free).
One Card Holder noted, "an investment that is guaranteed to double my money? Easy choice."
Also, if you change your mind about your purchase within 30 days of placing your order (for any reason), we will refund you in full.
You receive your Anguilla Card (a .PDF file and .JPG copy) within 24 hours of submitting your order. Use your Anguilla Card to book your hotel, villa, airfare, car rental, tours and more before you arrive.
When you are on-island, simply present your Anguilla Card on your mobile device at time of payment.
Our Participating Partners will apply your 10% discount.
Speaking of our Partners, who are they? They are among the best!
We regularly add new Partners, offering more ways for you to save.

Inspired by South-East-Asian design and dining experiences, da'Vida breathes exotic-luxury. Their Tamarind Lounge (where they serve tapas and dinner), is large and elegant, overlooking peaceful Crocus Bay. Tranquil, and with exceptional service, cocktails and food, it's one of the top spots to take in a quiet sunset.
Must-Try: Dim sum and springrolls for dinner, Tapas (lobster spring rolls, shrimp dumplings and corn/vegetable fritters).

Geraud's is currently only available for catering. To place an order, email: geraudlavest1@hotmail.com
A little piece of France right here in Anguilla, Geraud's is one of the most popular spots on the island.
From gourmet cakes for the most luxurious Anguilla weddings, to croissants and turnovers, to sandwiches and lunch specials, to omelets and bacon and eggs for breakfast, to even a little French gourmet shop (rare cheeses and meats), Geraud does it all.
Originally from France, Geraud knows breads and desserts. He has recently started showing off his culinary skills too, cooking up exceptional Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
Whether dining in, or ordering tons of goodies (quiche, chicken pot pie, baguettes) to go (and take on a picnic perhaps), his food is high-value and never fails to impress.
Must-Try: Baguette sandwiches, chicken pot pie

This. Is. Anguilla.
Nat Richardson's Palm Grove restaurant out at Junk's Hole is the first restaurant that my Dad and I fell in love with in Anguilla. A sandy shack on a quiet, untouched beach, this is Anguilla at its very best and most unique.
Who would guess that such a laid back business would serve what is arguably the best crayfish (somehow Nat always gets the biggest, juiciest crayfish!) on the island? Caught fresh, rubbed with spices and served with hand-cut fries and fresh-made coleslaw, the combination is unbeatable. Top it all off with a few rum punches and the afternoon is complete.
Nat himself and his son Theon make terrific hosts, too.
Must-Try: Grilled crayfish with johnnycake, coleslaw and fries
Savings on Lunch For 4: ~$25
The Rasta Pasta
In the height of high season, drop by Ocean Echo and you will see how true it is to its name!
With front row seats to the magnificent wave show Meads Bay puts on every winter, Ocean Echo is right at the beach's edge. One of the very best beaches in Anguilla, Ocean Echo gets an A+ for location alone (not to mention that they offer their guests beach chairs and umbrellas!).
When it comes to food, Ocean Echo gets it right, too. The menu has a little bit of everything for everyone.
Must-Try: Rasta Pasta, lobster pizza
Savings on Dinner For 4: ~$15
Set on the tranquil eastern side of Rendezvous Bay, the restaurant, "The Place" is most aptly named. It is the place for total relaxation combinging picture-perfect scenery with excellent eats and comfy chaises right on the beach. It is the place you fall in love with.
At The Place, it all starts with that blue view. The menu features a variety of main dishes, including ribs, chicken and crayfish, salads, pastas, wraps and outstanding sandwiches...
A must-do for lovers of terrific food and blue views!

For many (especially those traveling from central and west coast time zones), connecting to Anguilla through San Juan has always made the most sense. Until Tradewind Aviation came on the scene, flights were infrequent.
Based out of Connecticut, offering flights to/from popular destinations such as Nantucket and St. Barths, Tradewind has recently added Anguilla to its list of destinations. They fly to/from AXA and SJU Thursdays-Mondays, 4 times per day, 5 days per week.
And, living is easy on Tradewind. Plush and private (8 seats), the seating is all leather, the planes are air conditioned, and they keep plenty of snacks and drinks on hand.

Before we moved to Anguilla in 2008, whenever we saw our Island Car Rental waiting for us, we knew we were "home."
Easy breezy and totally trustworthy, Hamlet Harrigan runs a delightful car rental service. No hassle, no rush, no problem.
They feature a number of well-kept cars, from Toyota Corollas, to Jeep Wranglers, to Toyota Land Cruisers, to Nissan Armadas.
Upon arrival, you can either pick up your rental car at their office (they will have it waiting for you if the office is closed when you arrive), or you can request to have it delivered to your hotel/villa. (To pick up your car when the office is closed or to have your car waiting for you when you arrive at your hotel/villa, you must provide your license information when booking so they can prepare your temporary license, a measure required by government. That will be waiting for you inside your car.)
Upon departure, you can arrange with Island Car Rental to leave your rental car at the airport or Blowing Point Ferry. And, that's it!
So simple, so smooth. :-)
NOTE: The discount does not apply to rental car prices that have already been discounted.

One of the most memorable afternoons spent with my Dad was with Freedom Rentals.
Freedom Rentals offers two services... ATV-guided tours or Tiger Safari (mini motor boat) tours. Lovers of the sea, and eager to get up close with Anguilla's shoreline, we opted for the Tiger Safari tour. It was the right choice!
Equipped with our own boats and with the knowledgeable and safety-oriented Mark Connor as our guide, we skipped along Anguilla's tranquil waters, heading west first...
We explored the famous shipwrecks that line Sandy Ground's shores, we passed stunning Long Bay, Meads Bay, coming up under the caves below Four Seasons. We went on to Barnes Bay, venturing all the way down to the island's far western end. Mark pointed out a remarkable sight, "THE" arch...
"THE" Arch
Once at west end? Full-speed, we raced back east. We were on our way to idyllic Little Bay for an afternoon of swimming, snorkeling and more exploring.
Arriving at Little Bay
It was a blast!
Smiling ear-to-ear, I have never seen my Dad more excited and totally carefree. I will always remember that adventure. You can read the full report, here.
Thank YOU, Freedom Rentals and Mark!

On an early morning at Long Pond Bay, we happened to meet Mikey Fabian, a man of many talents here in Anguilla. One of those skills? Fishing!
We got to talking with Mikey and discovered that he owns a BBQ stand just up the road from our house, Gumbsy's Bar.
A man with a "good heart and a clean mind," as his friends say, you quickly discover it's true. Talk to him and you walk away with a new philosophy on life.
Knowing we were in good hands, we asked him "what's good at Gumbsy's?"
Classic chicken and ribs, of course. What's really special? Mikey expertly prepares snapper (cooked on the grill in foil with vegetables like pumpkin), queen crab (cooked in its own shell), crayfish and lobster (grilled with garlic and a variety of gentle herbs).
We went with the lobster. It was huge! Succulent, with a true charcoal taste, it was one of the best we've had, and all for only $30.

Jassi has you covered for relaxing nights spent in, too. She carries a variety of mouthwatering curries and soups, complete with sides such as rice and peas. AND, she also does special dishes upon request. Our #1 choice is her scalloped potatoes (order a day or two in advance).

Owned and operated by Judd Burdon, a good friend of ours since our days living in Canada, Judd is a true waterman (you can see him in the photo below kitesurfing high above Blowing Point!).
Sharing a love for the sea and all water activities, we have spent many days out on the ocean together, whether surfing, kitesurfing or stand up paddleboarding.
And that's what Anguilla Watersports is all about!...
Anguilla Watersports offers two of the most popular water activities.
First, kitesurfing!...
With Judd, an IKO-certified (certification by the International Kiteboarding Organization) instructor, by your side, learning the sport is both easy and safe.
And Anguilla's beaches... uncrowded, sandy bottomed and with waters that shine blue for as far as the eye can see... sure make for a terrific setting.
Racing across Anguilla's shimmering seas, powered by the wind, this sport is rich with beauty and adventure!
If you already know how to kite, Judd rents equipment, too.
Second, Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)...
Don't feel like an adrenaline-fueled day?
Stand Up Paddleboarding is peaceful and utterly relaxing. You glide across Anguilla's waters with no motors or noise, just you, your board and the sea life below.
Anguilla Watersports offers various stand up paddleboard tours, depending on the conditions. With a sound knowledge of how wind and waves affect different beaches in Anguilla, Judd always picks the best location to start and end tours.
If you would prefer to go it alone, Judd also rents stand up paddleboards. High-quality boards, he chooses the best equipment for your height. Then, he delivers your board wherever you wish... a hotel, villa, beach, restaurant, anywhere! When you're all done? He'll come pick them up! Each rental also includes a lesson on how to use the paddleboard.
Each rental also includes a lesson on how to use the paddleboard!
We've had the most magical moments stand up paddleboarding atop Anguilla's seas. The board's small size lets you get up close with shorelines, spot sting rays and turtles below, and if the sun gets a little too warm? Just hop into the sea to cool off!
All around, it's a beautiful way to spend a day in Anguilla.

Family owned and operated, Anguilla Sea Salt & Anchor Mini Putt is spicing things up in Island Harbour!
First, Anguilla Sea Salt has brought salt production back to Anguilla. Sourced, mined and created in Island Harbour, their sea salt (made from ocean salt, not pond salt like back in the day) is a 100% Anguillian product.
Fit for cooking, we sprinkle a little bit of Anguilla salt over every meal!
Second, they also offer mini putt. Professionally architected and designed, it is immaculate. We were truly blown away by the landscaping. Waterfalls, bridges, rock formations, the final hole even takes you through a room highlighting Anguilla's cultural heritage.
Tricky, there are no easy wins at Anchor Mini Putt. Let the mini putt challenges begin!

Long-established, Tasty's is an institution in Anguilla.
Owner and Executive Chef Dale Carty is talented and experienced, having spent years in France training under the world renowned Jo and Michel Rostang. Today, his refined skills are showcased at his restaurant, Tasty's.
Chef Dale Carty
Chef Dale takes classic Caribbean dishes to an haute-cuisine level, blending flavors that are unique to the region. Using the freshest ingredients, one could say that Tasty's is the original "farm to table" restaurant. Chef Dale has been embracing the ethos of "farm to table" long before it was called "farm to table." ;-)
Here is one example of a favorite dish for dinner...
Coconut Crusted Fish
Fresh fish (catch of the day) is encrusted with coconut and served in a spicy banana rum sauce (sautéed vegetables on the side). A curious and winning combination!
That same spicy rum sauce can be sampled, too, with Chef Dale's conch fritters...
Conch Fritters
Sizable and filled with large pieces of conch, they are fried to perfection.
From appetizers, to tapas (the stewed fish in a Creole sauce served on coconut dumpling is excellent!)...
Stewed Fish with Coconut Dumpling
... to full entrées, Chef Dale's menu offers a five-star taste of Caribbean cuisine.
Lunch and breakfast are noteworthy, too. "Tasty's Seafood Salad" is perhaps one of the best on the island. Big fresh pieces of snapper, lobster, shrimp and conch are tossed with a caper and garlic dressing.
Tasty's Seafood Salad
Last, but certainly not least, Tasty's breakfast has long been a favorite. The best breakfast in Anguilla, the "House Special" is the salted fish and Johnny cakes, served with fried plantains and hard boiled eggs.
Breakfast "House Special"
No matter the time of day, Chef Dale Carty and Tasty's cuisine always delight the palate!
NOTE: Chef Dale also offers in-villa private chef services. Call the number below for details.

If you like tranquility, you will love Tropical Sunset.
Set on the beach that's often called "the Caribbean's best," Tropical Sunset has carved out a quiet space on the popular Shoal Bay East. Located on the western end of the beach (before you reach Gwen's and Zemi Beach and after you pass Madeariman and Hank & Mac's), Tropical Sunset is peaceful.
Their signature blue umbrellas and lounge chaises sit undisturbed with unobstructed views of the bright blue Shoal Bay.
Bask in the sun or swing in a hammock amongst the lush sea grape trees that surround the restaurant...
Or cool off in the sea and snorkel Shoal Bay's reefs...
Or walk the beach from tip to tip to take in all of Shoal Bay's beauty!
When your stomach starts to rumble? It's time to head inside for one of the best meals to be had on Shoal Bay East...
Laid-back and casual, dine out on the patio or inside the open-air restaurant. Both spots have a terrific view of "Tranquility Wrapped in Blue!"
What's on the menu? Classic beach eats done right.
... and special entrées including curried chicken, whole snapper, filet snapper, coconut shrimp.
Our lunch picks on our latest, laid-back day at Tropical Sunset? Baguette garlic bread to start...
Followed by 10 oz. steak with rice & peas, sautéed potatoes and coleslaw for my friend Kirmani...
And one of my favorite meals of all time, Tropical Sunset's famous Anguillan Cracked Conch with French fries and coleslaw...
Light, fresh, fried to perfection and served with a marinara sauce, you're hooked at first bite!
After lunch? It's back onto the "best beach in the Caribbean" :-)
Reasonably priced (see Menus.ai for full menu and prices) and with one of the best locations on one of the world's top beaches, Tropical Sunset is a terrific spot for a relaxing afternoon and a favorite on Shoal Bay East.
Tropical Sunset is open daily for lunch.
To get to Tropical Sunset, drive to Shoal Bay East and take the left turn on the newly paved road - as if you are going to Zemi Beach. Take the first right on that road down to Tropical Sunset (the turn is marked with their sign).

You can't say "Twin Palms Villas" without saying "Meads"…
Owned by a family who has been traveling to Anguilla for over 30 years, it’s hard to believe that the owners are coincidentally named “Mead!" (You can read the serendipitous story on how their villa came to be here.)
And the villas are set just a 2 minute walk to magnificent Meads Bay.
A fateful coincidence, isn’t it? :-)
Based on location alone, Twin Palms Villas are a top pick! (In case you're wondering - yep, those beach chairs in the photo above are set up daily for you on Meads Bay during your stay.)
As for the villas themselves? Fresh and beachy, bright and spacious, Twin Palms Villas blend the feel of a Cape Cod beach house with the warm vibe of a Caribbean escape.
The property is made up of two private villas, Beach Palm and Coconut Palm. Surrounded by lush gardens, an aura of calm washes over you from the moment you enter the tropical property.
Beach Palm (2 Bedrooms) Step through the front door and you are greeted by a spacious kitchen, dining and living space that opens onto a large, terra cotta-tiled terrace (complete with a private salt water pool).
An open-floor plan, the first story is comfortable and airy. The kitchen is state of the art, complete with granite counters and all of the appliances you need for preparing meals in. The kitchen and dining area flows seamlessly into the living room, which has a flat screen TV (with cable) and stereo.
Both the kitchen and living room open up onto the terrace (with private salt water pool), surrounded by the soothing rustling of tall, swaying palms…
Downstairs, the Garden Master Suite is peaceful and private. The decor is especially charming, complete with Anguillian touches (conch shells collected from the beach, wooden sailboat miniatures...). The master suite features a king size bed, central air conditioning, flat screen cable television, and an en-suite bathroom.
Just across the hall, and opening onto the garden is Beach Palm’s second bedroom. Colorful and vibrant, it’s well-suited for children and/or another adult couple (the twin beds can be joined together).
This bedroom also boasts a beautiful and luxurious step-in shower…
Coconut Palm (3 Bedrooms) Down a winding path of palms and blossoming bougainvillea, Coconut Palm is well separated from Beach Palm. Coconut Palm is nearly identical to Beach Palm in its layout.
The first floor features a near-identical kitchen, dining and living space that opens onto a larger terrace (with private salt water pool), and two bedrooms are also located downstairs.
The difference? Coconut Palm's sizable Poolside Master Suite. It is set in its own building at the edge of the long terrace. Tucked away from the rest of the villa, it is quite secluded.
It also features a large luxurious soaking tub and a refreshing outdoor shower.
An extra-special touch? Coconut Palm’s tall tower with roof-top terrace. An idyllic spot to take in Meads Bay’s stunning sunsets with an evening cocktail!
Twin Palms Villas offers all of the conveniences of home - if “home” was surrounded by tropical gardens and located just a 2 minute stroll to Meads Bay ;-)
It is the perfect escape for large families traveling together (both villas can be rented together for a total of 5 bedrooms) or family and friends traveling solo.
Calm and quiet, peaceful and private, and with a prime location, Twin Palms Villas is an excellent choice, especially if you love the beach! Just follow the path and you’re *there*…

Elvis'
In Anguilla, there is no beating Elvis' loyally-loved beach bar on the sands of Anguilla's nightlife capital, Sandy Ground. A barefoot bar and restaurant by the water's edge, owners Elvis' and Brett keep the fun vibes rolling in Anguilla.
Elvis and Ralph
With Brett
A favorite for a pre-sunset cocktail, late nights and a "must" for all sports lovers (Brett broadcasts every game and has you covered in football season), Elvis' is also a top pick for Mexican eats on the beach.
Toes in the sand and rum punch in hand, it all goes down smooth with their Mexican menu with Anguillian touches. For example, their "Goatchos."

Elvis' Nacho Supreme
And...

Set on Anguilla's west end, overlooking Barnes Bay's enchanting blue, Sunset Lounge's location is one of the island's best.
Sunset Lounge, Four Seasons, Anguilla
The "it" spot on-island, the hyper-chic Sunset Lounge (designed by recognized designer Kelly Wearstler) has long the been the place to see and be seen in Anguilla.
Whether enjoying a cocktail and "Anguilla blue" by day...
Sunset Lounge During The Day
Or taking in the dazzling lights and live music by night...
Sunset Lounge By Night
Sunset Lounge never fails to take your breath away.
Our favorite time to visit? About one hour before sunset. Every evening Anguilla puts on a sensational show as the sun dips below the horizon. Sunset Lounge has front row seats.
Majestic Sunset Skies at Sunset Lounge
The first-class setting is best enjoyed with potent libations and the lounge's excellent light Asian eats. The menu includes a variety of sushi rolls (specialty rolls, maki, sashimi and nigiri)...
The Last Emperor Roll
As well as larger Asian-inspired dishes, including Kobe beef sliders, crispy rice and my sister's #1 favorite...
Korean Short Ribs
Falling off the bone, this rib is melt-in-your-mouth perfection.
Excellent cuisine and drinks and a jaw-dropping setting are all complemented by Four Seasons' improvements. Since Four Seasons Anguilla assumed management of this property in Oct. 2016, the Sunset Lounge experience has improved vastly. Service is all-star and seating is more comfortable and spacious than ever.

On a rocky promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and with views to Meads Bay on its eastern side, SALT's setting is one of a kind. Matching its exterior, its interior is equally awe-inspiring. Designed by revered designer, Kelly Wearstler, SALT blends modern-chic with elegant sophistication.
One of the only dining rooms of this grandeur in Anguilla, it boasts a distinct air of five-star dining.
Today, since Four Seasons has assumed management of the property, they have swapped trendier (and less comfortable) pieces of furniture for more classic and plush seating. Also, the restaurant is now completely open-air with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides of the room. The eastern side looks out to this majestic view...

Set on the shores of Anguilla's majestic Meads Bay, Bamboo Bar & Grill's setting takes your breath away.
Bamboo Bar & Grill at Four Seasons Anguilla on Meads Bay
In classic Four Seasons fashion, Bamboo Bar & Grill delivers a five-star experience in its upscale beach bar. The restaurant's terrace extends over the sands of Meads Bay, providing sweeping vistas of Meads' stretch of powder-fine sand and light blue hues.
There is no better setting for a glass of Whispering Angle rosé or one of Four Seasons' signature cocktails, the "top secret" rum punch.
Four Seasons' Signature Rum Punch
Refreshing and healthy Mediterranean cuisine (vegetarian and gluten free options are available) makes up the menu. Two of our top picks?...
The Mezze Platter
A selection of four Mediterranean dips to share make up this substantial plate. Whipped to perfection hummus, baba ghanoush made with fire-roasted eggplant, tabouleh and my personal favorite, the herbed feta dip with mint and dill.
When it comes to selections off of the menu's main dishes, the Aegaen Mahi Mahi is a different take on one of Anguilla's best-loved catches, mahi mahi. Layered with feta, tomatoes, artichokes and Kalamata olives, Mediterrean meets Caribbean here. The result? Exceptional!

Right in the heart of Sandy Ground village lies one of Anguilla's most charming shops, Bijoux Boutique. You may recognize this adorable boutique by its swirly black and off-white pebble stonework sidewalk and the twinkling lights that adorn its windowfronts come nightfall. The whimsical exterior hints at the creative souvenirs and clothing that await inside.
As you enter, the sweet soothing smell of vanilla bean wafts through the air. Turquoise tissue honeycomb balls hang from the ceiling among colorful pompoms and aluminum stars. The welcoming sales clerk warmly greets you while your attention is lured to the U-shaped table that surrounds her.
This table bears a wide variety of chic jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, earrings and toe rings, charm-filled anklets and...
Beautiful "bijoux" of the Caribbean Larimar semi-precious stone, which is the only Caribbean stone. This water stone is unique to the Dominican Republic.
Bijoux also carries a wide variety of fashionable beachwear for children, men and women. Anguilla t-shirts, swim shorts, long sleeves and breezy coverups are all available...
... as well as a wide variety of hats. If you are looking for sun hats, caps or Fedoras, this is spot!
In addition to the jewelry and hats, Bijoux's hand bags are some of their most popular items.
My personal favorites are the ones that are "all Anguilla." From the loud and bold...
To the subtle, with a sweet message...
They make for a terrific Anguilla souvenir.
These charming keepsakes, trendy beachwear and accessories are a credit to Thomas Pierantoni, the owner of Bijoux Boutique. Originally from France, Thomas moved to St. Martin several years ago. It wasn't long until he discovered Anguilla. It was here where he fell in love with "island life."
With a family background in boutiques, Thomas established Bijoux in 2010. He took a leap of faith and hasn't looked back since.
Thomas also has an outpost on Shoal Bay East in-season.

Have you met Garvey?
If you have ever spent a few afternoons "limin'" at CuisinArt's bar on the beach, chances are you know the man in the photo below!
Friendly, warm, and a ton of fun, Garvey was widely loved and sorely missed when he left CuisinArt to open up his own spot on the beach several years back, The Sunshine Shack.
Right on the sparkling sands of Rendezvous Bay (between Anguilla Great House and CuisinArt), his colorful, wooden shack on the beach is hard to miss when you're out for a walk along Rendezvous Bay.
Laid-back and inviting, Garvey and his team put you right at ease from the moment you walk up to their bar.
Picnic tables, beach chaises and umbrellas, and chairs and tables dot the sand surrounding The Sunshine Shack.
Whether drinking and dining, or out for a whole afternoon of sea, sand and sun, Garvey's set up is authentically Anguillian. No-fuss, comfortable and right at the sea's edge!
I would suggest starting the afternoon with the cocktail he's famous for...
The Island Cream Dream!
Frozen and blended, with a hint of coconut, it's a refreshing treat.
While you sip, mouthwatering BBQ aromas fill the air. Garvey mans the BBQ and ensures that you are well-taken care of by his staff.
What does he grill up?
... all served with rice and peas, coleslaw and salad.
The food is divine!
Topped with a special sauce, the BBQ itself has that smokey, straight-off-the-coals taste. Rich in flavor, the meat just falls off the bone.
The snapper is my Mom's favorite. Take Garvey's advice and drizzle it with fresh-squeezed lime and Matouk's hot sauce.
After lunch?
Settle in for just another picture-perfect day on Rendezvous Bay!
NOTE: To reach Garvey's, park at Rendezvous Bay's public beach access. Walk down the path to the beach and walk right along the beach until you see The Sunshine Shack just after Anguilla Great House (before CuisinArt).

Be exceptional. Be extraordinary. This must be a mantra that Paradise Cove practices. Because, that's exactly what they are.
Sherille Hughes, the owner and operator, and her staff do a terrific job. My Dad's business held a conference here a few years ago. Everyone was blown away by the level of personalized service and care.
The rooms are large and nicely appointed, with the choice of either a pool view or a garden view. There is a restaurant and a pool on site, and glistening Cove Bay (with Smokey's restaurant) is just a short walk away.
